A third of the final electricity in EU is consumed by households. The increased usage multiple electrical devices, electromobility, self-generation and consumption as well work-from-home will fundamentally change residential load profile, so a deep understanding current state profile modelling necessary. objective this paper to perform literature review, evaluate modelling, categorise models, propose future research directions applications, identify challenges researchers face when building these models offer possible solutions. Thirty two are identified new definition model proposed. categorisation system based on identification main features thirty studies introduced. Future applications presented most important that modellers attempting build such discussed. challenge privacy concerns participants or potential participants.
